In a process of a globally significant development focused enhancing the data quality for better efficiency and standards of the financial systems worldwide , a comprehensive five- day training session on Swift CBPR+ and ISO 20022 was successfully completed for the team from the Royal Monetary Authority (RMA) of Bhutan. Led by a Swift Certified Engineer (trainer), the training took place at the prestigious Hilton Colombo Residencies, where participants gained valuable insights and skills in scope of ISO 20022 message categories, Finplus 2.1.1 and Finplus 2.1.2, Swift CBPR+, RMA operations, learning TSP platform features, and hands-on labs.
The occasion was ceremonially opened and graced with the presence of distinguished guests, including Mr. D.P.N. Rodrigo, the Chairman LFSBL, and Mr. K.V.K. Alwis, Director of the Payment and Settlement Department – Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
The comprehensive training program focused on equipping the participants with in-depth knowledge and practical skills related to Swift CBPR+ and ISO 20022.The syllabus covered various essential topics, ensuring a holistic understanding of the subject matter. ISO 20022 Message Categories: Participants delved into the intricacies of ISO 20022 message categories, exploring their significance in facilitating standardized financial messaging and interoperability.
The training program provided insights into the functionalities and features of Finplus versions 2.1.1 and 2.1.2, enabling participants to navigate the system effectively.
Further, participants were introduced to Swift CBPR+ (Common Basic Package for Retail Payments), a comprehensive solution designed to meet the evolving needs of the payment industry. The training covered various aspects, including implementation, features, and benefits of CBPR+. The participants gained valuable insights into the operations and functionalities of the Royal Monetary Authority, allowing them to understand the context and relevance of the training within the Bhutanese financial landscape.
Furthermore, the training included ‘hands-on sessions’, enabling participants to explore and feel the features and functionalities of the Training and Support Platform (TSP) for effective learning and skill development.
Flexibility was a key aspect of the training program, with the LFSBL showcasing capability to design sessions based on specific customer requests, based on their respective business needs, ensuring a tailored learning experience to apply the skills and knowledge in the daily operations.
The training program received high praise from the participants, who expressed their satisfaction and appreciation for the comprehensive content and expertise of the Swift Certified Engineer. The program succeeded in imparting necessary knowledge and skills to the participant, which required to navigate the intricacies of Swift CBPR+ and ISO 20022 effectively. The interactive nature of the sessions and the hands-on-labs allowed us to accomplish a highly practical and skill-orientated session, which focused on the application of knowledge, enhancing the overall learning experience.
The successful completion of the training program on Swift CBPR+ and ISO 20022 for the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan marks a significant milestone towards enhancing the efficiency of the financial system and aligning with evolving global standards.
