Bhutan Banking Community Led by the Monetary Authority of Bhutan, Successfully Completed Advanced Training on Swift CBPR+ and ISO 20022 in Sri Lanka
Continuing the commitment to enhancing financial messaging standards and operational efficiency, Lanka Financial Services Bureau Ltd (LFSBL) successfully conducted an advanced five-day training program on Swift CBPR+ and ISO 20022 for the Bhutan banking community. The program, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, brought together representatives from key financial institutions in Bhutan, equipping them with essential knowledge and hands-on experience in modern financial messaging systems.
Distinguished Participation
The training saw the active participation of financial professionals from:
• Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan
• Bhutan Development Bank Ltd
• T Bank Ltd
• Digital Kidu
• Bank of Bhutan Ltd
• Bhutan National Bank
Guided by an expert Swift Certified Trainer, the program provided in-depth insights into the ISO 20022 messaging framework, covering key topics such as:
• ISO 20022 Message Categories – Understanding the structure and role of standardized messaging in global finance.
• Finplus 2.1.1 and Finplus 2.1.2 – Exploring the functionalities and updates in Swift’s Finplus platform.
• Swift CBPR+ Delving into the Common Basic Package for Retail Payments and its impact on financial interoperability.
• TSP Platform Features – Hands-on sessions to familiarize participants with key Swift functionalities.
The closing ceremony was graced by Ms. S. Shashi P. Kandambi, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Swift User Group, who presented the certificates of completion to the participants.
